Gastroenterology

Dr. Mukul Arya is board-certified in Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine and brings more than 16 years of clinical and academic experience in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of complex gastrointestinal conditions. He previously served as Director of Advanced Gastroenterology at White Plains Hospital and as Director of Advanced Endoscopy at New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, where he also led Brooklyn’s only advanced endoscopy fellowship program.

A leader in his field, Dr. Arya specializes in cutting-edge endoscopic techniques, with a focus on pancreaticobiliary disease, GI tumor management, interventional endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), and early cancer detection strategies. He received his medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine, completed his internal medicine residency at Long Island Jewish Medical Center, and went on to complete fellowships in gastroenterology at Allegheny General Hospital and advanced therapeutic endoscopy at Lenox Hill Hospital.

Dr. Arya is a member of several prominent professional organizations, including the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE), the American College of Gastroenterology (ACG), and the Medical Society of the State of New York (MSSNY). He is also the founding member of the NYC Metro chapter of the American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin (AAPI).

His work has been published in leading peer-reviewed journals such as the Journal of Clinical Medicine, Therapeutic Advances in Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, and Clinical Case Reports.
