Dr. Charles Thompson III is a board-certified general and bariatric surgeon with advanced fellowship training in minimally invasive and metabolic surgery. He is committed to providing safe, high-quality surgical care with a patient-first philosophy that emphasizes dignity, education, and long-term outcomes.

Dr. Thompson earned his medical degree from Howard University College of Medicine and completed his general surgery residency at Howard University Hospital, where he served as Chief Resident. He went on to complete a fellowship in bariatric and minimally invasive surgery at the Cleveland Clinic Florida, one of the nation’s top surgical programs. He also holds an MBA from the NYU Stern School of Business, where he focused on healthcare leadership and innovation.

A Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS) and the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (FASMBS), Dr. Thompson is known for his ability to connect with patients, advocate for health equity, and deliver excellent outcomes in both general and weight-loss surgery.
